Paving a Sidewalk in the Wolmyeongdong Sports Field

WMD News — The Wolmyeongdong Recreation Center began extending the sidewalk in the sports field on March 24. The new pavement goes from the Holy Spirit Boulder to the Holy Son Boulder.

Before, we only had a sidewalk along the Ambition Masterpiece towards the lawn sanctuary. But now, we have extended it to go to the Holy Son’s House of Love.

Along the sidewalk, we also placed tiles so that people could view the Rock Museum from all angles.

The workers cut the blocks we used for the pavement with an electric saw. They cut them meticulously so that they would all match. Since they all matched, there were no gaps between the blocks when we finished.

The path from the Holy Spirit Boulder to the Holy Son Boulder used to be a dirt road. Since the path connected the courtyard to the sports field, people frequently took this path. However, when it rained or snowed, the path would become muddy. So it was inconvenient to walk upon during those times.

Making Wolmyeongdong Comfortable for All

Now that we have finished the new pavement, we hope everyone will be able to walk with ease. Some people have noticed that Wolmyeongdong was not handicap friendly. But after we have extended the roads, Wolmyeongdong has become a comfortable place for all.

In the future, we will continue to extend the roadways so that everyone can enjoy Wolmyeongdong. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please let us know in the comments below. You can also send us a personal message through our contact page. Thank you!
