Starting from 1989, Jung Myung Seok and the Wolmyeongdong Recreation Center developed Wolmyeongdong (Wolmyeong Dong) into a temple. Although construction continues today, we have dedicated everything we built to God. In the past, Wolmyeongdong was simply a desolate valley, but now, it is a sacred place.

Consider the Front Mountain of Wolmyeongdong. The previous owner wanted to use it as a graveyard or as a field.
He let thorn bushes and common shrubs collect along the mountainside while saying, “This mountain is useless. The hill is too steep and because it’s in the shade, I can’t use it for anything. I’ll just use it as a graveyard when I die.”
He planned to use this mountain as a graveyard.
While thinking about how fast radio and television waves were, faster than the whole animal kingdom and human beings, I asked the Lord, “Why did God create the lords of all creation to be inferior to beasts and nature?”
Thousands of students gathered for the summer youth retreat in Wolmyeongdong. The message was delivered by Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok.

Close-up of the bronze Jesus statue next to the sports field. Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok received the design for the statue during prayer. He wanted to make a lifelike statue that would help people feel how real Jesus is.
Just as a tree can die from being squeezed by a python, this big tree died because it was squeezed by arrowroot. You see it, right? All of you too will die if you are squeezed by satans and weeds, so I can’t help but be anxious. While taking time to reflect on this, let’s cut down all of the arrowroot in the area.
When God works on something, He works in a very different way than humans. When He orders a task to be done, He actually already has a design in mind and has already made plans to finish the task well in advance.

For Arbor Day, Pastor Jung Myung Seok once again emphasized the importance of environmental protection and reminded us to give thanks to God for blessing us with His beautiful creations of nature. With thanksgiving, the event began and ended with prayer.
